While Jim has learned woodturning from respected local and international artists, he is mostly self taught.
After retiring he has devoted full time to turning, demonstration and teachng. Jim regularly teaches courses in Pen Turning, Finished and Natural Edged Bowls, Multi-axis Turning, Introduction to the Wood Lathe and Turning Segmented Vessels.
Jim is a member of the Bay Area Woodturners Association, The American Association of Woodturners, and the Martinez Art Association. |
